During the handover ceremony at Airbus’s Canadian facility, former Akwa Ibom state Governor Udom Emmanuel, Ibom Air CEO Mfon Udom, and Chief Operating Officer George Uriesi graced the event.
Airbus executives, led by President and CEO Benoît Schultz presented the Airbus A220-300 to Ibom Air, underscoring its renowned fuel efficiency, advanced technology, and passenger comfort.
Mr. Mfon Udom, Ibom Air’s CEO, emphasized the impact of the Airbus A220-300 on their operations. “This introduction represents a game-changing leap forward for Ibom Air. Our commitment to a modern, efficient fleet underscores our dedication to providing top-tier airline services,” he remarked.
The achievement received widespread applause, with Onyema extending his blessings, “May God continue to bless Nigerian carriers and grant them safe and prosperous flights always.” The event signaled a shift in the Nigerian aviation landscape, highlighting a new trajectory for indigenous airlines’ growth and competitiveness.
