In few hours, fervent Big Brother Naija All-Stars Show faithful who have watched and/or voted for their favourite housemates will found out who wins the grand prize of N120m.

There are already projections made as per who will win the huge prize.
However, with the curtains on the All Stars show coming down on Sunday evening, Prime Business Africa presents what viewers and even critics of the reality show would love to see changed from next season of the show.
1. Prize Cap for Winner of the Show
There had been widespread condemnations for the lifestyle of housemates that have graced the Big Brother Naija shows.
The huge prize money gifted the winners have further irked most Nigerians who believe that there are more educative and morally upright shows that deserve such amounts of money.
With the All Stars show now almost ended, new sets of potential stars will be born when the next season begins in 2024.
However, it will be reasonable to have a befitting prize money for the winner who could also win other monetary prizes in the daily and weekly tasks.
The need for a prize cap not more than N50m including all other goodies from the sponsors should be seriously considered by the organizers.
This could even reduce the enormous criticisms – and perhaps #rightly so – from those who have witnessed the show for many years.
Most Nigerians who are not fans of the Big Brother show see programmes on education, life skills and investments as worthy of the huge financial outlay organisers should put in.
The moral decadence in the society seems to be ‘legally’ amplified when housemates who arguably do not merit to earn such prizes enjoy such money while a brilliant and potential genius in tech, science or the arts can not enjoy such privilege.
2. Cut Down On The Romance
The show opens up a lot of opportunities for the housemates in several sectors of the economy as they skilled in different ways.
Their presence on our screens have endeared them to several top brands.
The reality show has also seen some ‘ships’ develop as relationships (or situationships) are commonly known as in the Big Brother house.
Tope Adenibuyan whose real name is Teddy A and fellow 2018 Pepper Dem Gang housemate, Oluwabamike Olawunmi best known as Bambam fell in love in the house and are now blessed with two children.
There has been some other relationships that have been built in the house. So there is still positives from the reality television show.
However whatever unions are formed afterwards should not cause issues from those consuming the contents with even children privy to it when not properly monitored.
Having the housemates live in different sections of the house according to their genders but still doing their tasks together, live nomination and eviction shows, Thursday pool parties, cooking and meal times, being at the Saturday night parties should be enough.
Viewers should be spared of indecent and sexual scenes from the housemates.
Wooing a potential love interest can be achieved when they meet up to execute their tasks. They don’t have to be involved in nocturnal activities.
3. More Creative Tasks
Creative ideas should be seen in future shows. Viewers expect Biggie to hand them more tasks in the creative and arts industry.
The housemates can also be resource persons to teach students who will be encouraged to visit the house of the rudimentary aspects of their crafts.
We want to see more of acting, singing, broadcast skills etc.
It was embarrassing to watch the housemates unable to answer done basic questions about current affairs in the country.
Requirements to be part of the show must not be based strictly on their family status, good lucks, and even social media followership.
This writer was at the audition of the 2019 show where one of the eventual housemates who made the cut for the All Stars show told him that he’ looked comfortable’ and so does not need the money.
That was indeed a good joke but if it is actually guaranteed that housemates are given the opportunity for what they can impact, that will be great.
4. All We Are Saying Biggie, Give Us More Celebs
In the See Gobe (2017) and Pepper Dem (2018) editions, the house had several celebrities visit the housemates.
That brought element of excitement on the show.
A memorable presence in the Big Brother house was the visit of comic actor, James Ikechukwu Okafor (Mr Ibu) who was in the house in 2017 and was even called to the diary room by Big Brother for his diary session.
It will be fun and entertaining to have stars in Nollywood be in the house.
The presence of A-list actors, musicians, advocates for social justice, captains of industries, relationship experts and some national award winners etc will add spice to the show.
