As the curtain lifted on the 2024 Golden Globes, expectations were met in some instances while taking unexpected turns in others. The acclaimed television series “Succession” lived up to its reputation, tying a record for the most wins in the best drama category, with actors Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook, and Matthew Macfadyen each claiming well-deserved awards.

However, not all nominees shared in the glory. “The Bear” and “Only Murders in the Building,” both with five nominations, experienced divergent fates — the former securing three awards, while the latter left empty-handed.

Shifting focus to the cinematic realm, “Oppenheimer,” with eight nominations, clinched five awards, including the coveted top prize in the drama category. Cillian Murphy emerged triumphant as the best actor in a drama, and Christopher Nolan claimed the best director accolade.
