“I seek to become the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria because I know the way. My experience and past performance assure that. It will be through collective effort and national endeavour that we join hands, cross divides, and achieve our vision.

“I ask you to join Senator Shettima and I on this journey. We have traversed every part of our nation, listening to the concerns and yearnings of Nigerians for a more prosperous and equitable society – better able to acknowledge and nurture the dreams of her people. We share the peoples’ desire for a peaceful Nigeria where we all coexist in fairness, prosperity and with balanced representation in positions of authority.

“After visiting and meeting our compatriots; young and old, poor and rich, educated and uneducated, Christian and Muslim; we recognize that no Nigerian wants empty answers to hard questions at this hour.

“The country does not need fancy promises or foreign experiments. Nigerians seek sustained progress and reform through stable governance and proven leadership,” Tinubu stated.

Adamu charged all party stakeholders to work hard and ensure that the APC wins in every part of the country to maintain their stay in power, noting that their success in governance has been due to the hard work, perseverance, discipline, and policies of President Buhari since assumption of office seven and a half years ago.

Adamu said the occasion marks a transition to another phase of the party’s electoral campaign process.

“This occasion is a double-barrel one for us and our great party. In addition to inaugurating the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) we are also launching the action plan of our candidate titled, “The New
Hope”. Together, this two-in-one occasion moves the national political leadership of our party to the level we have always wanted it to be – right there at the top,” Adamu stated.

He thanked members of the PCC for accepting to serve the party in their various capacities and urged them to display honest commitment and work tirelessly for victory at the polls. “I know we stand together to the task ahead and we must not take the continued support of our people for granted,” he added.

The APC national chairman noted that the party stands on the record of its performances at various levels, adding that “the only thing that will guarantee our victory is our unity of purpose and hard work. We demonstrated that in 2015 and 2019. Let us demonstrate it again in the year 2023.

“All members of the PCC, must make unity our watchword. No army goes into war in disarray. I urge all of us to see our membership of the council as a privilege to us to serve our party and country.

“As we get prepared to form the next administration, the party through its manifestos is ensuring that legacies programmes and policies of this current administration will be sustained and built upon. The programmes of our candidate are also on the party programmes. The National Working Committee and indeed the entire party are ready to work for the actualisation of these programmes.

He also acknowledged the role of women in the party’s campaign process, especially the PCC women wing members who were inaugurated recently.

“I must take advantage of our gathering to specially acknowledge the role that the women folks are playing in the campaign process. On October 3rd, 2022, they took their oath of initiative and launched their campaign council in this very hall. We will do everything possible to advance their cause and ensure that their voices are heard and their interest delivered.”
