The Ghana Football Association finally on Tuesday 22 March, released its 27-man list for Friday’s first leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs against Nigeria at Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi reports Prime Business Africa.

The Black Stars squad had been kept discreet in a bid to avoid Nigeria’s attention with the team displayed on social media platforms in the past days proving to be false.

Both west African rivals are vying for one of Africa’s five tickets to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in Russia in November.

Captaining the Black Stars is Arsenal’s midfield powerhouse Thomas Partey. Leicester City’s Daniel Amartey is another experienced player in the team called up by head coach Otto Addo who was a former assistant coach at Borussia Dortmund.

AS Roman’s youngster, Felix Afena Gyan is one of young players who are making their international bows for their country.

There was no place for Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew due to a Covid 19 positve test while his older sibling Andre Ayew misses out due to his red card incident at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
